What does the loan cover?
The loans cover full tuition fees and living expenses. It can also be configured to suit student’s needs.
What are some of the key requirements?
After the student has been accepted into the program, the student must pay about 25% of the required loan amount to the school as a tuition fee deposit. The amount is also classified as collateral towards the loan.
Why is the tuition fee deposit/collateral important?
It is important to secure a seat on the program and also underscore the student’s commitment to the program.
What happens to the tuition fee deposit?
The tuition fee deposit is used to offset part of the loan by spreading it to cover the loan repayment period.
How many years do I have to pay the loan?
Students have between 5 – 7 years to repay the loan depending on their course.
When does repayment start?
Repayment is done monthly, and it starts one month after the student has enrolled in school.
Can a student pay off the loan earlier than the repayment period?
Yes. Early repayment does not incur any penalties.
What happens if a student is refused a visa?
The tuition fee deposit/collateral will be refunded in full.
What other advantage does the loan offer?
It helps build the student’s credit history in Canada, making the student creditworthy.
